Hi, I’m
Founder of Embody Therapy & Wellness and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California
About Me
I was born in India and grew up in Singapore before eventually coming to sunny San Diego for college, a journey that allowed me to experience life across cultures and continents and deeply shaped how I understand healing. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling and Social Change from San Diego State University, and later completed my Master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy at Drexel University. And yes, go birds.
I believe trauma, whether inherited, experienced, or quietly carried, touches all of us. Healing is not about fixing what is broken. It is about reconnecting with who we are beneath the pain and learning to live with greater presence and compassion. I have done my own therapeutic work and believe we can only take our clients as far as we are willing to go ourselves. The relationship between therapist and client is the heart of therapy, and finding the right fit is always my priority.
Outside the therapy room, I am a big foodie who loves trying new restaurants, traveling, fashion, yoga, tennis, and being overly competitive about ping pong. I am also an avid reader and will happily share book recommendations, especially romantasy. The Twilight saga was my gateway series. I run on vanilla lattes, enjoy improv and stand up comedy, love spending time with friends, and have a soft spot for orcas.
My hope is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and genuinely accepted. Therapy is a collaborative journey, and you do not have to walk it alone. If you think we might be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out and start the conversation.
